Two Below Duo Race Schedule
Racers,
We finally have received all authorizations and permits and can give you a comprehensive schedule for this weekend. Please pay close attention, as this schedule may differ slightly from other information we have already released (format provided courtesy of Scott Angove).
This event is not
mandatory, but highly recommended. Its
purpose is for packet pickup and race information dispersal. Late registration is restricted to this
event. There will be no race day registration.
Besides—the lounge has a fireplace and good drinks! Please join us for a great opportunity to
socialize with fellow racers.
Pre-race
meeting Saturday
7:30am Rocky gap parking lot
Course directions and map review will
take place at this time. Late comers
will be left to their own devices. There may be some last minute race rule
changes based on weather. It would be in
your best interest to arrive on time for this meeting. Please arrive early if
you did not make the pre-event meeting on Friday.
Bike-run-bike start
Saturday 8:00am Rocky gap parking lot
Pre-orienteering meeting Saturday 5:00pm
Holiday Inn Lounge
This meeting will disclose
the location of the Nighttime Navigation and will discuss the format and rules.
There will also be a mandatory gear check.
If you cannot make this meeting you will not be permitted to race. Maps will not be distributed at this
time. They will be distributed at 5:45
at the race location.
Orienteering maps given
Saturday 5:45pm Location TBA at 5:00pm
Your team will have 15
minutes to review the map and locate the race start and other landmarks. CP’s will be identified on the map, but you
will have no idea which CP’s you are to retrieve and in what order. Your punch card and clue sheet will be
distributed at the start of each leg.
There are three legs in this stage.
This will be a staggered
start based on finish order from stage 1.
Start order for Stage 2 will be revealed at Pre-orienteering meeting at
Holiday Inn. You are not required to
arrive at the Orienteering location at 5:45.
If your team has a later start time, you can arrive later.
Pre-Biathlon meeting Sunday
9:00am Kalbfus Club
Gun safety will be
discussed and start times will be revealed.
The top five teams will be started on their time differential from the
other events. All other teams will be
started on a one minute interval. Please
arrive no later than 9:00 am regardless of your team’s standing.
